Trail Description: Ellicott Rock Trail down to ford of Chatooga River; continue on Ellicott Rock Tr, and turn left at jct. to return to FS 1100. NOTE: River crossing should not be attempted in high-water conditions.The rock inscription locations are marked by a sign on the east side of the river. Descend 25' down hillside to water's edge. Ellicott Rock and Commissioners' Rock.
