New Maintenance Reports

Hi, Bill
I am a volunteer at the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy (and also am a hiker with the High Country Hikers).  Yesterday I scouted a hike that the Conservancy is doing on May 13, and was thrilled with the improvements and clearing of trees from the trails that was done by you CMC trail maintenance folks.  I especially liked the slight detours on the blue trail to avoid the really steep section and the worst of the boggy section, and the clear marking to avoid crossing and recrossing the creek a little higher on that trail.  Everyone at the Conservancy appreciates your work, as do all of us who enjoy this beautiful mountain land.

When you add this to all the downed tree clearing work you did at Carl Sandburg's, and all the blowdown and ice damage in the Green River Gamelands, you have been a busy bunch!  And this only mentions what I am personally aware of.  I participated in a hike that John VanValen led on Thursday in the Laurel Creek/Laurel Branch area of Green River.  Easy to see how you accumulated 200 man hours of hard work on that trail.  There were 32 of us that day, all singing your praises.

THANK YOU AND YOUR CREW FOR MAKING THESE TRAILS USABLE FOR US ALL!!

Thanks for the reports!  Last weekend I was working on entering our volunteer hours into our database, and I checked the website you had referred me to before.   I was so impressed when I saw that you had had another big group out on the March 30th!  Thanks again for CMC’s help!  We really do appreciate it.

The report has the main information I need for our records.   We are also starting to collect the mileage that people drive (and therefore donate to CMLC) to do their volunteer work.   But, since you don’t automatically collect that information, I think it’s fine to just give us the hours donated. Our upcoming newsletter (coming out in the next week or two) includes a mention of CMC and a photo from January.  We would like to send a newsletter to the CMC volunteers who have helped out in .  Do you have an easy way of creating a report with each person’s address?  I know I can get to each person’s address by clicking on their name, but I was hoping you might have an easier way to get that information.
