CMC now has a maintenance reporting system, which is being tweacked and managed by Don Walton. Not all trail crews are using it yet but we'll get there. It sure makes my life as the eNews editor a little simpler. Danny danny@hikertohiker.org

Summary

We started out with two teams each going one way on the Laurel Creek Trail. The 6 man team with John went to correct a uprooted tree dugout and steps then planned to go on and clear trees to meet the other team coming from the other direction. John changed that plan by getting sick and us calling 911 to have him transportaed to Pardee Hospital by EMS. We ended up having a good day with John getting released at about 12:30. We need to go back to finish clearing downed trees and construct permanent steps at the dugout site.
