Pisgah National Forest contains two wilderness areas where certain conditions apply.

1.  There are no trail signs or blazes. Make sure you have a map and compass and that you know how to use them.

2.  No more than ten people in a group

3.  No wood fires. If you are camping, use a stove.

4.  If you insist on bringing your dog, make sure that it is under control at all times.

5.  The trail maintenance in the wilderness area is not as rigorous as in other section of the forest.
